Moon is not spherical as per Jain Scriptures. Sun and moon both are the Vimaan(vehicle) of Jyotisi dev.
They are hemispherical in shape as per this diagram:

Sun and moon both have the idols of Jinendra Bhagwan. This is the reason why chakravartis in ancient times used to bow hands looking at moon and sun. They could actually see the idols in them.

I completely agree with all this and I do have strong belief in all the Jain Scriptures but my doubt is about the moon that we actually see and the researches done by Scientists through satellites. Neither we deny the reality of the images captured by them nor we can cay that what is mentioned in Jain scriptures is incorrect.
Probably we are missing are link between the two. Can you please clear my doubt regarding the same?
